An embodied babe is someone who is reclaiming their birthright of returning home to their body. An embodied babe is someone who recognizes that one of the most radical things we can do in this lifetime is to develop self-love by listening to our bodies. An embodied babe understands this sacred cultivation work is an ongoing, ever-evolving process that can be uncomfortable at times, but is the key to their metamorphosis. An embodied babe learns how to drop into their body when they are making decisions. An embodied babe learns how to live in their alignment by listening to their body’s cues, finding where their “Yes” and their “No” live in their body. An embodied babe begins to prioritize self-care because they realize they cannot heal the world without first tending to themselves. An embodied babe reconnects to their ability to experience pleasure. An embodied babe is committed to discovering themselves so that they can live in their fullest expression and freedom.
An embodied babe may identify as a woman, womxn, femme, non-binary, trans or gender non-conforming. An embodied babe may come from any cultural, spiritual or geographic background. An embodied babe believes that healing doesn’t happen in isolation and is open to receiving guidance.
Your body is your birthright - it’s time to come home to it. There are many reasons why we disconnect from our bodies - traumatic experiences, family modeling, chronic pain, etc. Even consider the consequences of living in this tech-dependent fast-paced era that values speaking over listening, where we interact with and touch devices more than we do each other, where productivity and pushing one’s self is seen as a strength. No wonder it’s become difficult to hear the messages of our bodies when we are being continually distracted. Not only this, but most of us have never learned how to listen.
Embodiment Coaching guides you home into the sanctuary of your body. In mindfulness, we explore how and where emotional attitudes, memory and holding show up in your body. By getting to know your inner terrain, you begin to develop attuned ears to the messages of your body. By listening, you begin to make decisions that are authentic and compassionate to yourself and others. The ability to have choice - this is a form of empowerment. The ability to be with yourself lovingly and with genuine curiosity - this is a form of liberation.
Sessions are 60-minutes long, following the “pace of your body,” meaning that we trust in the organic unfolding of your healing, only going forward with the permission of you and your body. Most sessions are conducted in mindfulness. It can be surprising what’s shows up in mindful awareness, as the body often speaks in symbols, sensations and metaphor. These sessions are a somatic approach to emotional and whole being wellness, always returning to the body and present moment experience, whenever possible.
This series begins in January and continues through the end of May. You choose a package that fits your needs. I recommend meeting weekly or biweekly, as I’ve seen the greatest benefits for my clients done consecutively over time. For some, meeting weekly is ideal and can be hugely transformative. For others, meeting biweekly gives them time to integrate what they’ve learned between sessions.
